“I
learnt the Art of Stand-up Comedy when I got J. F. Kennedy
Scholarship in 1967. I was given a special class in Las Vegas on
Stand-up Comedy, which is considered ‘holy place’ for
comedians. Stand-up Comedian is a critic of society, politics,
foolishness of human behavior and communicator of jokes. In
America it is a big profession, but after the arrival of T.V,
politics & freedom of speech, it has taken roots in our
society. I teach and work as stand-up comedian in social
functions and conduct many workshops on it in Gujarati and
English. For e.g.: “I make laughter out of married life”.
But with sense of humour, u can save your married life.

Jayanti Patel is a standup comedian who has studied Mortshal,
Jack Benny, Danny Kaye. His one-man show – “My
Experience with Untruth” did amazingly not only in India
but also in the cities of U.S.A.
