Radio is a yogic medium because it deals with private dreams and public nightmare. Love of media was the inner urge of Dr. Jayanti Patel to communicate with his community through newspapers, television, and radio. He worked on radio for 15 years in ‘All India Radio’ under the character of ‘Ranglo’, ‘Rangli’ (Ranglo’s wife) and ‘Kaako’ (Ranglo’s uncle).

Dr. Jayanti Patel with his character Ranglo has written, directed and produced for plays like  Mantra-Yogi. He has traveled through the ears of his listeners into their hearts making them laugh about the day-to-day circus of life.

Few of the plays on radio were, “Bapu hu kadhu chu Chhapu”, “Ranglo goes for marriage”, “Ranglo tries to find out his house”, “Ranglo in politics”, “Problems of Ranglo in married life”.
